elegant yet comfortable spaces. In addition, the winery, tasting room

of the James Barbour mansion, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

James Barbour designed by Thomas Jefferson, ruined by fire on Christmas
Day, 1884. A large lawn bordered by 200-year-old American boxwood surrounds
the ruins. Suitable for wedding ceremony.

the area used by Governor Barbour for his favorite pastime, horse racing.
This large well maintained field is suitable for ceremony and reception.

Trattorie and Ristoranti of northern Italy, the 40 seat main dining
room features antique oak beams, wood-burning fireplace and terra cotta
tile. The adjoining 24-seat arcade allows guests an opportunity to
view the kitchen as well as the surrounding estate. A comfortable and
casually elegant atmosphere prevails in both dining spaces.
The restaurant features the foods of northern Italy, each dish prepared
creatively, to simply emphasize the basic inherent flavor of the prominent
ingredient at its peak. A state of the art kitchen allows for each
